Curling 201 is a four class program designed to build on the fundamentals taught in Curling 101. The four classes can be taken anytime during the year. This class is designed for those who have taken Curling 101 or a similar introductory course. We focus on strengthening fundamentals and develop the skills necessary to throw guards, takeouts, draws and promotes. We also cover the strategy of the game and sweeping techniques. Students have the opportunity to throw a lot of stones in a structured environment employing classic curling drills. By the end of the fourth class, students will be thoroughly prepared to substitute in league games and/or join upcoming leagues.
Curling 101 is an introduction to the fastest growing sport on ice. We focus on the fundamentals of delivery and sweeping and cover basic game strategy. By the end of the class, students will have experienced the thrill of delivering stones and sweeping stones the length of the ice. We also cover scoring, etiquette, and rules.
